I am a 43 year old female. I have DHD. On Oct. 25, 2001 I had a periacetabular osteotomy. In three months I will also have a femeral head resurfacing of the other hip. I found the osteotomy very painful. I am improving daily. I can walk with crutches, use my wheelchair, or just lie in bed. I have numbness from my outer knee to the crest of my pelvis. I expierience a lot of nerve pain. Like electric shocks in my leg. I get up and rotate between the bed, wheelchair and crutches because of cramps and back pain. I would appreciate any comments on recovery from this procedure. Thanks, rebels3@mediaone.net
