I personally had reservations going into Hip replacement surgery at my age (45), however at this point I could not be happier. I had a terriffic doctor (dr. Phillip Schmidt), he put me at ease and I virtually had no pain through both sides. I had my right side done 11 weeks ago (Dec 10th) and just had my left side done (Jan 21st) 5 weeks ago and I am walking without the use of a cane or crutches. I still am of course going through therapy, but all is going well there too. I encourage anyone who is thinking about going through Hip-Replacement surgery at such a young age to go for it.
