Where do I start? I am 28, 155 lbs, in great health, except for a pain in my right hip, which can be quite extreme at times. I have had this problem for approximately 5 years now. Standing up, slightly bent forward, I am ok. Standing up perfectly straight hurts like hell. The pain comes from directly within the right hip joint. I can walk fine, but cannot move my right leg back too far, as it hurts too much. I can do heavy lifting, but the consequence is that I will have a HORRIBLE aching which will last for weeks or months. My primary care physician is clueless, and has given me Vicodan for the pain, which I sparingly take, due to the addictive nature of the drug. I have seen countless doctors of all types - hip specialists, bone specialists, chiropractor, holistic chiropractor, acupuncture - all to no avail. I have had MRIs, X-Rays, Ultrasounds, and Bone Scans, but each and every time, the doctors see nothing wrong. I have had arthroscopic surgery on my hip - a certain doctor felt it would help - which it did not. I am limited in my activities and no longer jog, go to the gym, or play sports which I used to enjoy. The reason why I am posting this is that I am at the end of my rope. I need help. I find it ridiculous that in this day and age, there isn't a doctor out there who can find a cause for this pain. Does anyone out there have any ideas? Anyone have a similar problem? Please, if you think you can help in the least, email me at sjk9000@yahoo.com. Thank you!!! Steve
