I broke my left hip at the age of 12 in a car wreck, and went through 2 very difficult years (crutches, wheelchair with a brace.) At the age of 14 I had a total hip replacement (6 months ago.) I'm now 15, walking, and in no pain. I still have a (very slight) limp, everyday it's showing less, and less. Right after surgery i kind of regretted doing it, but I know believe it was the best decision i could have made. It does limit me a little, but the pain it gone.
