Martin, I am 35 yrs old and have AVN in both of my hips. I am going to be having THR surgery in three months on my left hip. My doctor was conterned about my age also. I finally decided that my quality of life was too important for me to wait any longer. I am a single parent with two children and I want to be able to do things and enjoy them while they are growing up. I wish you all the best.
