I'm scheduled for a right hip replacement on Valentine's Day. :) I must admit that I am pretty scared since I live alone & have no family or close friends nearby & I worry about taking care of myself after. I have AVN & had a "core decompression" in June, spent 4 months in a wheelchair/walker but the hip collapsed so now I'm scheduled for the THR. I hope to be able to go upstairs when I get home since that's where the bedroom & full bath are. How long is it usually before you can climb stairs? And will this horrible pain be gone so that I can start living again? Thanks!!
