I am a 45 year old female, pretty healthy except for this right hip that has been very painful for over 8 years. I had my first steroid injection in Oct. Worked like a charm. Went back for another in Jan. (high expectations) and to my dismay it didn't help at all. The docs then took a look at the films and said it was time for the titanium replacement. I am scheduled for 4-20-00. The nurse said I would spend 4 days in the hospital, then be at home for 10-12 weeks before returning to work. I am excited and nervous but I think I can handle just about any amount of "recovery" pain. I seem to have a very high tolerance. I'm curious to know about other peoples experiences.
