My pain started in 1995 about 6 months after a fell from a high fence. My doctor says it was not related that it is osteoarthritis. The pain did not get worse until last summer that it limited my physical abilities tremendously. So I decided to have the total hip replacement and I'm on the 3rd month post -op. The pain is gone but I still walk with a slight limp. My doctor said it will eventually go away. I wonder .
