Yikes. Active duty Army major due for left THP next Wed and must admit a great amount of second guessing and intimidation. Both hips & right shoulder with severe DJD/osteoarthritis and need replaced. Live on percocet, vioxx, dispermine and still feel pain. Walk goofy for last two years and slowly watched my life become more restricted in physical activity. Last training field problem last week. Wonder when I can swim again? Between self-pity & bouts of depression, must admit life is not fun. No both teenage kids and wife must care for me for awhile (how long?). Nice to know others are like me, feels pretty lonely to be 45 years old with all this DJD. Thanks for reading. Eric
