I had a THR on my Left hip on March 7, 2000. I was diagnosed with congenital hip dysplasia at birth and was treated through out my childhood. I am now 35 years old and by shear luck my twin sister saw a news article on our local news that offered hope for young recipients of hip replacements. I was referred the the Bone and Joint Clinic at University of Chicago and must say was very thrilled with the professionalism of the entire staff. So now I am 2 weeks post op and recovering at home with my husband and 3 daughters and am anxiously awaiting walking without a limp for the first time in my life (Dr. Finn was able to correct the leg legnth deficit when he did the surgery). i would love to hear from any one with a similar history/story!
