I was just diagnosed with Osteonecrosis in both hips, the left being worse than the right. I am 29 years old. I was diagnosed with multiple episeal displaysia at age 12. I also have scoliosis. I'm just a mess! But, I am very encouraged to read Karen's notes. Everything I've seen and heard so far is that I should wait as long possible because the prostheses just don't last that long. I'm excited about the opportunity to have greater mobility and to be pain free but nervous about the lifetime of problems that will inevitably come with the replacement surgery.
