I've tried to post you a message 2 times but somehow they keep getting lost in cyberspace. You really need to do your research and find a great doctor who you really trust and are very comfortable with. The metasul site at sulzer medica has excellent web site with excellent info on metal-metal replacements. I was not a candidate for the metal replacements but was assured that I have a state of the art hip for the year 2000. I am 3 weeks post-op today and have been advanced to walking woth a cane!
