Hello: I had total left hip replacement on 3/31/00. While in the hospital, I had very little swelling or bruising. I left the hospital after after 5 days and now have swelling on the thigh, knee and ankle of my surgery leg. I also, have bruising around my knee. I do my PT twice daily as suggested, elevate my leg for several ours each day, walk short distances several times each day. My surgical wound is clean and dry.
I expected swelling around the knee and ankle - I've read about that expectation, but swelling of the thigh and bruising aroung the back of the knee surprises me. Do I need to be concerned
