Don't give up!!! I know it's difficult watching your wife suffer from the pain, I am 41 years old and was in a severe car crash August 29, 1998. I was told by not only the ICU staff but my orthopedic physician they thought I wouldn't make it. Every bone from my waist down was broken including my left femoral neck was crushed. What made it worse was the part of the left femor above the knee was split in two which made it impossible to do a hip replacement at that time. I wanted to give up, it hurt to wiggle my toe. I can't tell you how many times I wondered if God made a mistake and really meant for me to die, I really wanted to give up. But with God's strength, my husband's support and the shere will of wanting to see my children grown, I'm still here. I was finally able to have my hip replaced (surgery #10) the day before Thanksgiving 1999 and now I'm using a cane, sometimes I get brave and take steps without the cane. Please don't be discouraged, God's will is perfect, sometimes we have to go through the raging storm but He WILL calm the storms.
