I am 46 and had my THR done on 04/18/00. The pain that I experienced from my deteriated joint seemed like an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. I remember waking up after my surgery actually feeling allot less pain. Those new adjustable hospital beds are sure nice! I came home after 5 days of excellent care in the hospital. I'm sill feeing pretty good but it is hard to not be as active right now. Now finally to my question to all of you fellow hippies out there. I have been told to wear my TED stockings for at least a month following my surgery. These things drive me crazy!!! Can anybody offer me some encouragement and let me know how long you had to wear your TEDs? Thanks, Jim
