I had a THR in Jan. of 2000, I was unable to weight bear for 6 weeks, walking with walker, then progressed to cane. About 4 weeks ago, was walking pretty much normal. I could drive after 6 weeks, I have just started doing water aerobics. I feel at work and dislocated my hip and now I am in a hip brace for 6 weeks. My doctor states that I will always have to beware of hip precautions. Hope this helps.
