Hi, I'm only 14 years old and I have to have a partial hip replacement. I've had Rheumatiod Arthritis since I was 2 and avascular necrosis since I was 5. I've been on prednisone, and heavy doses of solumedral too. My doctors say they will have to go in and break the femur to put it back in socket, and put a cap on the end so it will fit. I know the side effects of prednisone and I'm hoping to hear from any other kids or someone who might tell me some advice.
