one thing i learned while i was going through some health problems when i was younger was that life, as much as we'd like it to be, is not linear.
there is no set time when we're supposed to do things. the chronology of life is not: school, more school, work, marry, babies, die. sometimes we attempt this path only to have to start over. sometimes we skip steps. sometimes we go backwards.
i guess what i'm saying is i hope you really are as optimistic as you sound. you have to know that you have your whole life ahead of you. think of the possibilities & opportunities you have now ...they're countless. your military career may be over at 21, but you have so many other things you can do. you're only 21 - your life is just beginning.
i have a feeling, though, that you know this. keep up the good attitude and you'll do great no matter happens with your health.
