I am interested in hearing from anyone out there that has had hip/femor surgery to repair a fractured bone that is located just below the ball that goes in the hip socket. I would like to know what the recovery time is. I am 42 years old and I had a compression fracture in a dirt bike accident and had surgery on July 31 and had 3 5 in. pins put in the bone. It is August 10th and I just found out that I have to be on crutches 6 more weeks. I would love to hear from someone that has experienced this same type of injury and surgery.
