My sister had bilateral THR in March of this year. It was one of the hardest things I ever watched. She was in a wheelchair for 2 months, but now we look back it was the best thing to do. She has both done, its over. She does have some pain or soreness from time to time. I have had both hips done too, not at the same time, I think everyone with any type of hip or knee problem should take and anti inflamatory drug! I take Celebrex and my mom takes Vioxx these are new and very, very good. These drugs keep the pain and soreness from happening at all. Good luck! Hang in there it will get better, it just takes time and I think thats the hardest part!!!
