Did the doctor put a long femoral stem into your femur bone, if so it is more than likely the stem is moving inside the femur bone. Which is the same feeling I had for about a year untill the bone healed. I never experienced the groin pain but it sounds like it may be from a nerve? Swelling of the tissue into that area. My doctor told me not to use a clutch any more as one of my restrictions cause it can cause the stem to break away from the bone. Then a revision is required. Been there , done that. It should get better as time goes by, but i still have the pain at the change of the weather.
