Glad to hear from you Teresa. The snaping feeling is quite annoying because it comes sometimes and surpeises you. even if you are not putting pressure on the leg it does surpise. It does not really interfere much with biking, actually it is more of a concern because it might be rginding bone away and might create a problem even if I can stand it for now. When I had an X Ray made at JRI, L.A. The doctors told me tha I had the tipically called "wind shield wiper" motion (the stem moving side-to-side inside the femur), that being responsible for stress shield and snaping. I am surprised that you had bone growing in the lower part of the stem (is it yours the short type of stem of the Thomsom prosthesis ?).
