I had THR on Dec 8, 2000 at Barnes in STL. It has been over 3 weeks and I feel fantastic so far. What I would like to know is what parts have been recalled. I have read the term shell and im assuming that is the part that fits into the pelvis area for the socket cup. Doest the recall also include the stem. From what I have read the problem is that some peoples body reject a very thin film of lubracant that is left on the part from manufacturing. It causes there bone not to grow into the metal. Is this corredt or way off. I havent gotten to talk to my doctor yet to see what company manufactured my joint. I would aprecciate any and all info available. Thanks Tony
