my husband and i are both 30 years old we live in england with our two kids.In January 2000 my husband began to complain of pain in his hips.It took until 1st Nov to get an MRI and the consultant broke the news that he needed BOTH hips replaced due to idiopathic avascular necrosis. This is a very scary time for us, he has been told to put off the op's for as long as possible, but his mobility is gradually worsening although the pain is not too bad (yet). We know nothing about the disease really, or anyone under 35 that has had replacements. It has thrown all our hopes and plans upside down but we are gradually coming to terms with the fact that we will have to change our whole way of life, i would appreciate any advice (or sympathy!)that anyone (in any country!) can offer, kerry
