I'm 20 years old and have been diagnoised with avn gradeIV. I undergo a total hip replacement of my left hip on May 7, 2001. I had hard problems tryin to find a Doctor that would do the surgery because of my age. They are afraid that because of my age that the hardware will wear out faster because I'm young and more active. It's a scarie thing to know that I have to go through this at such a young age. This is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone...young or old.
