Hello all, Has anyone ever heard of broken cable bands around the top of the femur? I'm 18months post op for THR, and on my last doctor visit the x-ray showed the cable braid had been clearly stretced, fraid and broken in two! When I asked the doc he said I had been using those muscles quite a bit and it stressed the cable. All I know is that it was hurting like Hell and that he prescribed vicodin but did not seem concerned about it, the pain is better these days but it still freaks me out and I wonder when the pain will go away.
