My THR was 5 months ago and my foot is still numb -- pins and needles. I do have movement and it has gotten better. I posted on the Discussion Board #1 and #2 and got replies from 2 others who seemed to have had it worse than me. The most interesting was the guy who said that nerves heal at a rate of 1 inch per month -- so measure your leg and get the calendar out! I believe the sciatic nerve was damaged during surgery. I also believe that eventually it will heal -- but it must take a very long time. Good luck.
