Hi, going back to work after 1-1/2 wks is insane. Unless you can work from home.Give your body the full 6 wks to recup, the long-term affects of over -doing is not worth it. You will be fine and able to do most anything after 3 months if you were in good health before the surgery in maybe sooner. Your body will tell you, Be prepared for many aches and soreness, but this is still much better then the pain before surgery. It is so untrue about the people posting here are having trouble, They are sensible about their recovery and looking for reassurance they are on track . Each recovery is different, but 1-1/2 wks is unrealistic....keep us posted...good luck
