In my case my pain was reduced after surgery. The wosrt part is the sitting around doing nothing for 6 weeks till the doctor lets you start doing things. Keep her doing the basic exercises that she was shown in the hospital. Also to help her mentally get her to talk about or daydream about what she wants to do with her new hips. Such as walk in the park go shoppin all day or what ever she misses the most that she couldn't do. Good luck. Tony
