At age 29 I had my first THR do to villinodular synovitis. It lasted 4 years before the cement came loose. The second cemented THR lasted 5 years. Number 3 was a cementless THR and lasted 9 years. Number 4 was installed in 1999 and is doing well. Dr. Borden at the Cleveland Clinic is wonderful.
