I have posted to other tip web sites to find an answer to my question. Maybe someone will read this and help me. My husband,66, had RTHR 1/99, in nine months he started with lysis of the bone. Many different meds later including fosomax he went through revision 9/00. By this time the bone was so thin the OS was afraid it would splinter if he fell. He went back for 9 month check up on the revision and x rays shows lysis again with the possibilty it is working loose again. He has had MRI, which has ruled out AVN, he has a Zimmer prothesis. He had bone scan done on Monday and he goes for the results on July 11. Has anyone had this problem. I am wondering if possibilty of allergic reaction, but he has no signs of that. He is in so much pain he is walking with a walker. PLEASE, anyone have any ideas?
