Have you considered the Birmingham Hip Re-surfacing? It may be of benefit to discuss this procedure with your surgeon. An article posted on 4th July (Metal on Metal hip resurfacing) discusses Darrin's procedure that was conducted in the USA - might be worth taking a look. Good Luck.
