I guess that's part of my point. You said you'll have to have the THR later anyway so what's the real difference if you have 2 THR's or an osteotomy and a THR? Especially if the THR recovery is quicker. My father said he was pretty good after 2 months and he was about 62! Also keep in mind, it's your body, you always have a choice. If you don't like what the doctor wants to do, find another doctor.
I'm going to see Dr. Millis in Boston and discuss the THR option. Even though I don't think he does that operation and is the Osteotomy expert, I hope that he will give me his honest opinion.
